WireCo unveiled its latest innovation, the CASAR Lazerlift hoist rope, at the Bauma exhibition in Munich. This new technology by the wire and synthetic ropes maker is made for operations in large telescopic, crawler, and high-capacity tower cranes.
The new WireCo ropes balance cost-effectiveness with high performance, addressing the needs of crane manufacturers and operators alike. Johannes Weirich, WireCo’s Chief Engineer for Crane Ropes said, “This hoist rope stands out in our lineup for its superior spooling behaviour and impressive minimum breaking force (MBF), meeting the evolving needs of crane operators.”
Lazerlift has undergone test trials and actual crane operations and is built to endure extreme radial stress while maintaining breaking strength.
David Rowatt, SVP Global Steel Engineering at WireCo, noted, “As wind turbines grow taller, the demands on hoist ropes increase. Lazerlift meets these challenges head-on with its strength, longevity, and resilience. It minimises downtime and maintenance, keeping operators competitive.”
WireCo’s stand showcased the new Lazerlift rope alongside other innovations like the Boomfit and Durascend ropes.
