A message from Brandon Hitch, Chief Executive Officer, The Crane Industry Council of Australia
It is with great sadness that I share with you today the news of the sudden passing of Bob Way, founder of Robway and CICA Life Member. It was only two weeks ago he graciously called me to see how my family was coping with the Victorian lockdowns and I got to hear his chuckle.
Over the past several years I had the privilege of getting to know the man many of you have known for a lifetime. He was a good man to me.
As I have said earlier in the year, COVID-19 restrictions have made mourning with those who mourn difficult. As information becomes available from his family on the funeral we will let members know.
Bob has been a positive influence on me and many in the industry and the crane industry is safer today because of Bob’s fingerprint on it.
We wish to inform all CICA SA members that Bob Way’s funeral will be held this Friday 11th September at 10am – however attendance is by family invitation only.
