Brazilian crane contractor Sistermi has purchased a brand new Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 all-terrain crane to enhance its industrial assembly and maintenance operations.
Taking delivery of the crane in late last week, the Brazilian company cited the reliability, lifting capacities, and modern technologies commonly displayed by Liebherr cranes as the main reason to purchase the new LTM 1250-5.1. Director of Sistermi Juliano Martins highlighted the growing need for powerful mobile cranes featuring longer boom systems in the rental company’s operation area as an additional reason to purchase the crane.
“We have chosen the 250-tonne model intending to increase the load capacity and lifting height of our equipment in this crane class, meeting the needs of our customers,” he said. “Our customers have high expectations when it comes to operational safety; that is why Liebherr cranes are immensely popular with them, as they are equipped with the well-known technologies needed to ensure high safety in operations.”
Liebherr’s 250-tonne maximum capacity mobile crane possesses a 60m main boom length, with a range of jib and fly-jib extensions giving the machine the ability to lift at a maximum hoisting height of 108m. The five-axle crane can also lift at a maximum radius of 96m that, when used in conjunction with Liebherr’s patented VarioBallast system, enables larger lifting capacities with a smaller ballast radius, making the crane ideal for constricted job sites requiring large lifts.
Furthermore, the Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 comes with the standard VarioBase, ECOmode, and ECOdrive technologies, with the crane able to be powered by HVO fuel for a more environmentally friendly operation. According to Liebherr Brazil’s Divisional Manager of mobile and crawler cranes, Rene Porto, the 250-tonne capacity all-terrain crane offers a high level of versatility on the job site, hence its popularity in the market.
“The LTM 1250-5.1 is a versatile crane that comes with Liebherr’s unique technologies, ensuring a safe and flexible operation,” he said. “It is an excellent addition to any fleet: offering unmatched capacities on five axles.”
