Pacific Hoists has brought the Juuko range of products to Australia and New Zealand with the team excited by the new M-series and what it can bring to the sector.
Steve Purves is the managing director at Pacific Hoists Indent and technical manager at Pacific Hoists Australia and New Zealand and explains the M-series and what drew the company to add it to its range of products.
“We look at what can go wrong on a site and what can be done to mitigate these risks when deciding what to import and this made the decision to turn to the M-series so simple, as we saw it had a range of features to suit the Australian and New Zealand market and safety features that really stood out to us.
“The M-series can be used across a range of products and machinery, it is truly universal ensuring it is an investment for a whole fleet,” Purves said.
A feature that is a standout on the Juuko M-series is the ‘MyMode’ system which allows restrictions to be placed on machinery around a number of parameters.
“The ‘MyMode’ promotes safe and responsible controlling, you can set a range of restrictions including to the top speed, which systems can control which machine, transmitting power among a myriad of other options.
“The ‘MyMode’ system also allows users to utilise the ‘MyKey’ restrictions, which allow certain parameters to be set for particular users. This can be easily setup using the battery packs, so the driver simply plugs in the pack and the restrictions are instantly set. This is ideal for new and learning drivers who may not have the same skills as a seasoned operator,” Purves said.
The user has the option to get the M series with either stepped or stepless controls including variable speed for precise load handling.
The M-series is extremely intuitive to use, with 12 LEDs at the top of the controller, it gives quick and accurate feedback of the status of each receiver.
“Another feature that is a standout is the black box function which allows the user to record all the data from both the M-series and the machinery it is connected to,” Purves said.
“This function is good for the hoist service and maintenance work, and also for those companies who provide lease or rent out services for their machinery. It is more than simple to see the usage data of both transmitter and receiver just by connecting the transmitter to the Juuko’s control pro configuration software,” Purves explained.
The system comes standard with a primary working frequency and a secondary working frequency. Automatic Channel Switching (ACS) allows continuous operation free from interference for the user. When radio interference occurs during normal operation, the radio communication automatically switches to the secondary frequency.
The remote system has an eco-power management system and a wireless QI charging capability again to make it as simple as possible to use.
“The zero-g-safety function is extremely impressive; it prevents uncontrolled output of commands in specific emergencies. The G sensor can detect if the transmitter receives a hard impact, is dropped or even thrown. These features can deactivate either the complete radio system or only the safety relevant function relays,” Purves said.
“The system comes with a range of inputs including 418, 429, 433, 447, 470, 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz. This allows the M-series to be truly universal, it can be fitted to all machines which can be a challenge when sourcing these controllers.
“The system comes with a 100 metre operating range with receivers having an onboard range limiting function for both start up and working range for added operator safety.
“A lot of thought has gone into the system and making it as simple to attach as possible, this is why we wanted to bring it to Pacific Hoists.
“The M-series can be custom designed and built completely to the customers requirements ensuring the investment matches the customers needs completely,” Purves said.
