The crane is the third Liebherr crane in Xin-Hong’s fleet, with the 300-tonne capacity machine becoming the crane hire company’s flagship product. When quizzed about his reason for continuing with the German manufacturer, CEO of Xin-Hong, Chien-Min Wu, said, simply, Liebherr was “the best”.

“Not only their cranes,” he said, “but their after-sales service too.”

Liebherr’s LTM 1300-6.3 possesses a main telescopic boom of 90m, a maximum hoisting height of 120m, and a maximum radius of 94m. The crane, currently, is the world record holder for the longest boom carried on six axles within a 12-tonne axle load.

As a versatile, fast self-erecting crane with a “peerless” telescopic boom length in its class, the crane proves its worth in jobs requiring lower lifting capacities at greater heights. For Xin-Hong, this is especially useful considering the increasing height of Taiwanese IT production facilities, which is where the company sees the crane being utilised most.

“The LTM 1300-6.3 is therefore particularly suitable for our planned operations in science parks, but also on construction sites, in refineries and power stations,” said Wu. “It’s a versatile six-axle crane with an excellent telescopic boom and outstanding capacities.

“With the new mobile crane, we now also have a new flagship for our fleet, which has a considerable resale value.”

Xin-Hong was founded in 2003 with just one singular forklift truck. Today, the company has grown to provide transportation and lifting services across both Taiwan and China, employing 120 people in the process.

The company added its first Liebherr crane – the LTM 1230-5.1 – to its fleet in 2023.
