As Tamás és Zsolt Ktf celebrates it 30th anniversary, the acquisition of the 8-axle Liebherr crane, will be the company’s largest mobile crane.

The LTM 1650-8.1 lifting has a lifting capacity 700-tonne, with a total ballast of 175-tonne, is among several draw cards, according to Company Owner of Tamás és Zsolt Ktf, Tamás Lovas.

“It is not just lifting height and radius that are becoming ever greater for crane jobs, but the concrete elements for bridge or shed constructions are also becoming heavier and longer, meaning that demand for equipment in the class over 400-tonne is also increasing in Hungary,” said Tamás.

The LTM 1650-8.1 includes a telescopic boom length of 80m with a maximum hoist height of 152m and a maximum radius of 112m.

The crane also has an on-road travel ability, with a maximum driving speed of 85,000kph, as Tamás highlighted the flexibility of the LTM 1650-8.1.

“Whether with luffing jib or fixed jib, Y-guying or different ballasting options using VarioBallast – the crane is not just suitable for a wide range of jobs, but can also travel on public roads with its jib,” said Tamás.

Tamás also spoke to the increasing demand to be involved with the wind industry.

“We are also receiving more and more enquiries for repairing wind turbines. We have added our new Liebherr LTM to our fleet to cover these jobs,” said Tamás.

Tamás és Zsolt Kft has been a regular customer of Liebherr for 25 years and has developed a partnership over time, with 20 Liebherr cranes now in its fleet.

“We appreciate the fast delivery of spare parts and the fact that used cranes from Liebherr have a very high resale value. Thanks to our good partnership with Liebherr, we can offer our own customers flexibility, reliability and state-of-the-art machines for their jobs at all times,” said Tamás.
