Tadano vehicle loading cranes have been manufactured for over half a century and are a safe and efficient solution for loading and unloading applications. The range is also designed to install a wide variety of equipment and building materials.
Tadano vehicle loading cranes are distributed in Australia by Tadano Oceania and its associated agents around the country ensuring the after sales service, support, and parts availability is second to none.
The Tadano Straight Boom range of vehicle loading cranes starts with the 260 series designed for small trucks. This model boasts a maximum capacity of 2,630kg at 1.6m and provides a maximum boom length of 12.8m. The largest model in the range is the 1500 series which features a capacity of 15,000kg at 2.0m and a maximum boom length of 18.5m.
Advantages of Straight Boom cranes:
Tadano’s Straight Boom design provides the operator with ‘ready to go’ lifting capabilities unlike the Knuckle Boom which takes time to unfold and fold away. Given there can be multiple ‘drops’ in any given application, using a ‘Knuckle Boom’ can lead to inefficiencies and loss of productivity.
The Straight Boom is the perfect solution for operators requiring precise placement of equipment or structures below ground level, at ground level or at height.
Tadano vehicle loading cranes are ideally suited for a variety of lifting tasks including:
• General Cargo Delivery
• Lifting structural steel sections into place.
• Placing prefabricated timber roof trusses in place
• Lowering equipment such as pumps and pipe below ground level with precision.
• A greater ability to reach accurately over walls, fences, and obstacles.
• Provide safer handling of cargo through more precise placement of loads.
• Ability to lift straight up and down, making loading in narrow spaces possible, with reduced risk of damage to the cargo.
Tadano vehicle loading cranes also feature safety technology designed by Tadano to get the job done safely.
‘Safety Eyes’ Automatic Moment Limiter (AML)
The ‘Safety Eyes’ AML monitors crane work safety and comes as standard on Tadano vehicle loading cranes. The ‘Safety Eyes’ AML provides a ‘strength monitoring’ function, which prevents crane overloading and a ‘stability monitoring’ function prevents the crane from becoming unstable.
The ‘Safety Eyes’ AML monitors and controls crane working conditions including the state of a lifted load to ensure safer operations. Additional safety features include the outrigger middle extension function which is now available for all models as well as warning features as the crane approaches rated performance. Audible and visual alarms will be triggered and as an extra level of safety, operation is automatically stopped once critical parameters are reached.
Outriggers asymmetric extension width control
Optimum lifting performance is managed automatically at any outrigger width. The system constantly monitors slewing angle and difference in outrigger extension widths and the operation Tadano loading crane the automatically slows and stops as critical parameters are approached.
Limit warning lamp and radio remote control
The warning lamp on the control panel, the remote control, and the tricolor vehicle light work in tandem to make it easier to see the operation of the crane even at a distance. A radio controller for remote operation of the crane is provided, and it employs a large-screen and power-saving colour LCD display. The remote control can customise speed adjustment for various operations, and has an emergency stop switch in addition to displaying the actual load, rated load, and moment load ratio.
