Tadano is expanding its presence in North America as it moves further into the aerial work platform (AWP) market, with a broad portfolio of specialised access equipment to be showcased at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026.
The company said the move builds on its lifting expertise and recent strategic acquisitions, bringing a range of high-capacity and application-focused machines to the AWP segment in the Americas.
Tadano entered the North American aerial work platform market in 2025 and said it has been building momentum with customers looking for solutions suited to demanding applications and tough terrain.
Erik Elzinga, Vice President of AWP & Tadano Utilities, Pan-America, said early response from the market has been strong.
“The customer response to Tadano’s aerial work platform offering in North America has been very positive,” said Erik. “The specifications are getting noticed- particularly the high platform capacities, which allow customers to accomplish more in harsh terrain or heavy-lift situations, as well as the advanced control systems, and crawler-based mobility. This market acceptance confirms the demand for differentiated access solutions designed for challenging jobsite conditions.”
The company’s AWP lineup in North America includes crawler, wheeled, spider and truck-mounted platforms, with a focus on high-capacity and rough-terrain work.
Among the machines highlighted is the AS-63HD heavy-duty boom lift, which features a 2,200-pound platform capacity and a large platform designed to carry materials and tools. Tadano said the model also uses a single-joystick, four-motion control system that allows precise vertical and horizontal movement across all boom functions.
The AS crawler boom series draws on Tadano’s crawler technology, delivering low ground pressure and up to 57 per cent gradeability for work on rough terrain or sensitive surfaces. The AL68 spider lift is designed for compact spaces and flexible positioning, including applications such as tree care and rental work.
At CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, Tadano will display a range of aerial work platforms including compact electric crawler booms, telescopic and articulated crawler models, wheeled booms, a spider lift and a truck-mounted aerial work platform.
The portfolio is aimed at a wide range of industries, including construction, industrial maintenance, infrastructure, utilities, retail facilities and government operations. Typical work includes new construction, renovation, factory maintenance and jobs in confined or low-emission sites.
Visitors to the show will be able to see the equipment at Tadano’s booth as the company continues to develop its access equipment offering across North America.
