Birmingham-based crane services company CraneWorks has been added as an authorised distributor of Tadano’s products.
Announced by Tadano America last week, the company will sell all of Tadano’s all terrain, rough terrain, and telescopic boom crawler cranes in the state of Alabama. Offering cranes ranging from 2-to-500-tonne capacity for both sale and rent, the company can also provide rigging, machinery moving, specialty hauling, and equipment storage services.
“We are super excited to partner with such an excellent team,” said CraneWorks President Kenny Bishop. “We have been renting and servicing cranes for over 30 years, so becoming a distributor for the number one brand is a natural fit for us to better serve our customers.”

Signifying its commitment to the southern USA market, CraneWorks has a wide range of Tadano cranes already in stock or on the way, including rough terrain machines and three-to-five-axle all terrain cranes.
“We are so excited to work with Kenny and the CraneWorks team to assist them with new equipment purchases, service and parts,” said Tadano America Region Business Manager Todd Elkins. “This expansion in the Tadano distributor network will be a benefit for existing and new customers in Alabama. CraneWorks has an impressive customer base and track record across the state, and this partnership will help grow both of our businesses.”
Conceived in 1987, CraneWorks was started by David Upton, growing into the brand commercially recognised today with his brother Steve in 1998. The company has branches in Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas, all committed to providing “excellent and safe” operated crane and equipment rental services across the southeast.
