During ConExpo, Tadano put the spotlight on two exciting all terrain crane models, the 250 tonne AC 5.250L-2 capacity and the 300 tonne capacity, AC 6.300-1. The exciting AC 5.250L-2 and AC 6.300-1 will continue to bring valuable and innovative all terrain cranes to customers around the globe.
These versatile machines are engineered for exceptional performance across various environments, combining power and manoeuvrability to suit both urban construction sites and remote locations.
The AC 5.250L-2 excels in the 5-axle class with its 79 metre side pinning main boom system, and the maximum main boom extension of 30 metres is also “best in class”. The crane on exhibit also featured a new bi-fold jib (10m/19m +1.0m adapter specific to the new 19 metre bifold jib). All available main boom extensions from 5.8 to 30 metres are self-erecting. The available maximum system length of 109 metres makes the compact AC 5.250L-2 the ideal crane for urban applications, for example for lifting air conditioning units over obstructions onto tall buildings. Additionally, it is also ideally suited to the assembly of large tower cranes.
The AC 5.250L-2 features optimised rigging solutions – remote control, self-leveling outriggers and automatic counterweight rigging. This powerful crane can pick up its maximum counterweight of 80 tonne in three lifts: 49 tonne with a radius of up to 6.8 metres at a full 360 degree load chart and two wing weights combined, totalling 15.2 tonnes with a radius of up to 13 metres divided into 10 tonne and 5.2 tonne for hanging on the right and left of the basic package. Maximum flexibility in transport logistics is also ensured by the division of the counterweight, with no element weighing more than 10 tonne.
The AC 5.250L-2 is equipped with a comprehensive range of standard features that benefit all current cranes in the Tadano AC family. This includes the IC-1 Plus crane control system, for example. It determines the maximum load capacity of the crane in real time for each boom position depending on the slewing angle, boom angle, counterweight amount and outrigger extension length. The unique Surround View camera system, which overlays the slew radius and outrigger positions over a depiction of the crane image, is also available as an option, making it easier for the crane operator to optimally position the crane on the construction site.
The AC 6.300-1 is a compact six-axle all terrain known for outstanding jobsite accessibility. With its 80 metre main boom and outstanding lifting power, this 300 tonne powerhouse checks every box for tight job sites and tall challenges. The AC 6.300-1 boasts best-in-class lifting capacity on a fully telescoped main boom with 15 tonne. Equipped with an optional luffing jib, this versatile AT provides an unparalleled strong chart – making it an optimal choice for modern construction.
The AC 6.300-1 helps to optimise transportation. Additionally, the many components of this manoeuvrable machine are shared with Tadano all terrain cranes including AC5.130-1, AC5.160-1, AC5.220L-1 and AC.250-1 all terrains, reducing the number of spare parts required in stock. With its efficient rigging processes that allow a fast, safe setup, the AC 6.300-1 can be quite the time and money saver as it produces great lifting performance on a myriad of applications.
