Skyjack has launched the SJ6940 RT, its largest compact rough terrain scissor lift to date. The new machine has a working height of 14.02 metres and a platform capacity of 362.874 kilograms, making it the tallest model in Skyjack’s compact rough terrain scissor class.
Designed for productivity and versatility on site, the SJ6940 RT offers the longest working area in its class. With the roll-out deck extended, the platform reaches 4.52 metres in length. An oscillating front steer axle helps the machine handle uneven ground, while auto-levelling outriggers improve stability. The outriggers are optional on ANSI and CSA models and standard on CE and AS models.
The scissor lift is suited to both indoor and outdoor construction, maintenance and industrial work.
Skyjack president Charlie Patterson said the company focuses on building machines that work well for rental fleets and jobsite productivity.
“At Skyjack, we pride ourselves on designing for rental and building machines that optimize productivity,” said Charlie. “The new SJ6940 RT scissor offers outstanding performance and an impressive 800 lb (362.874 kg) capacity to support more people, tools, and materials.”
The SJ6940 RT features a four-wheel driveline with wheel motors, torque hubs and an oscillating front axle. This setup delivers strong traction and manoeuvrability, along with a 35 per cent gradeability rating for working on rough terrain.
Skyjack head of product management Corey Connolly said the machine was designed specifically for challenging conditions.
“The SJ6940 RT is purpose-built to outperform in rough terrain conditions,” said Corey. “Our four-level scissor stack, with a single-cylinder design, significantly reduces leak points and simplifies maintenance. Paired with our intelligent adaptive drive system, this rough terrain scissor lift consistently delivers reliable performance in rugged environments. In keeping with Skyjack’s commitment to sustainability, this new machine has an engine that is HVO compatible and offers a dual fuel option in North America.”
The SJ6940 RT is now available in North America, South America, Europe and Australia.
Skyjack will also showcase the new model at CONEXPO 2026 in Las Vegas from March 3 to March 7, and at The ARA Show 2026 in Orlando from March 2 to March 4.
