Sinoboom launches compact spider lift with 27m working height

Sinoboom has introduced a new compact spider lift, the SPA27(E)J, offering electric and diesel options designed for a range of indoor and outdoor applications.

The SPA27EJ electric model and the SPA27J diesel model provide a maximum working height of 27m, horizontal reach of 14.2m and up-and-over clearance of 13m. The machine also features 360-degree continuous turntable rotation and +/-90-degree basket rotation.

Instead of a multi-articulating boom, the new spider lift uses a double telescopic boom design. Sinoboom said this reduces swing during extension and retraction, improving stability and providing greater reach and functionality across a wide range of applications.

The spider lift has a stowed length of less than 5m, allowing it to access confined spaces such as shopping centres, transport hubs and construction sites. The electric SPA27EJ weighs 4.5 tonnes, while the diesel SPA27J weighs 3.9 tonnes. Despite the lightweight design, both models have a platform capacity of 230kg.

The crawler track system allows operators to adjust the machine’s height and width, including unilateral adjustment for positioning on uneven ground. Non-marking rubber crawlers are fitted as standard.

Sinoboom has included several operator-focused features, including a graphical user interface, real-time status and fault diagnosis, and one-click travelling and stowing functions. The company said maintenance is simplified through the use of parts commonality with its boom lift range.

The diesel SPA27J is powered by a three-cylinder 16.1kW Kubota engine for outdoor applications. It also includes an AC motor that allows operation from a standard household power supply.

The electric SPA27EJ uses a 15.3kWh lithium battery and supports three charging modes: 220V 10A, 16A and 32A. Sinoboom said the battery delivers a productivity score of 20 Hird cycles, exceeding the requirements of a single work shift.

“The SPA27EJ and SPA27J have been developed to meet the specific needs of our customers, who require agile and versatile access options for complex spaces such as shopping malls, transport hubs and construction sites. With the choice of electric or diesel variants, this machine represents a reliable and easily maneuverable solution for multiple scenarios, meaning enhanced ROI for both rental companies and end users alike,” said Hyman Yu, Head of the Global Product Management Center.

The SPA27(E)J is available for order now in global markets, except the United States, mainland Europe and Australia.
