According to Executive Director at Galfar Al Misnad, Mr. Satish G. Pillai, the cranes were acquired to “efficiently execute” three new projects that had been awarded to the engineering and construction company.
“Galfar was awarded three prestigious projects from Qatar Energy. To efficiently execute these projects for them, we opted for a Tadano crane package comprising a total of seven truck cranes,” he said.
“With these brand-new cranes, apart from our ongoing projects, we anticipate deploying them for future endeavors, thereby bolstering our capabilities and reinforcing our commitment to excellence in project delivery.”

Tadano’s 30-tonne capacity GT-300EL possesses a maximum sheave height of 48m, a main boom length of 34m, and a maximum radius of 40m. The GT-600EL, on the other hand, possesses a 60-tonne lifting capacity, a 43m main boom, and a maximum radius of 44m. Unifying the three models is their roadability and compact nature, according to the manufacturer, that allows them to navigate long, complex trips, and perform in congested job sites.
According to Galfar Al Misnad, the cranes have already been deployed, immediately being sent to various projects within the oil and gas sector, with Deputy General Manager – Plant, Anwar Sadath, praising the “strengths” of Tadano’s offerings.
“The quality, reliability, and durability of Tadano cranes,” he said, “align perfectly with our operational requirements, ensuring seamless project execution and enhanced efficiency.”
