Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung GmbH has added a new Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane to its fleet, replacing an older 700‑tonne model.
It is the second crane of this type in the group. The first, in the blue colours of Hofmann Kran‑Vermietung GmbH & Co. KG, has been in use for 10 years.
Managing Director Dirk Bracht said the decision was based on excellent performance.“The LTM 1750-9.1 has proven its abilities within our group for a decade. So we decided to acquire another crane just like it. It’s a sound decision. The new model will replace an AC 700 in our fleet,” he said. “We are planning to use it for a wide range of jobs in our day-to-day business.”
These jobs include bridge assembly, industrial work, heavy load handling, and service and installation of wind turbines.
“Our large cranes are fully booked in the wind sector until the end of 2026. Thanks to its high load capacity, the LTM 1750-9.1 is also ideal for use in the context of wind power,” Dirk said.

The crane’s first job was repairing a wind power plant in Lünen, where it replaced the main shaft at a hub height of 100 metres. It then moved on to installing wind turbine towers in Olpe, with a third job already lined up at a refinery.
The LTM 1750‑9.1 can carry its telescopic boom on public roads and set itself up without an auxiliary crane.
“With the hydraulic LIKUFIX quick-change system, it’s a particularly simple and fast process. Our first LTM 1750-9.1 didn’t even have that,” Dirk said.
Franz Bracht Kran‑Vermietung GmbH, based in Erwitte, Germany, has been in business since 1964 and employs around 800 people. It runs 1,400 vehicles, including 300 mobile cranes.
The company has worked with Liebherr since 1975. “That’s when we bought our first Liebherr crane, an LG 1130 lattice boom mobile crane. This marked the start of an incredible cooperation across all areas, from sales and service to construction,” Dirk said.
