Sany SCL10000 arrives in Chile

Sany SCL10000 arrives in Chile.

The largest capacity all-terrain crane in the South American market from a Chinese brand has arrived in Chile, after Burger Crane Company took possession of the Sany SCL10000.

The Sany SCL10000 holds a maximum lifting capacity of 1000 tonnes and a maximum lifting moment of 11000 torque-metres, making it the largest capacity crane ever exported to South America from a Chinese manufacturer.

Following close collaboration from Sany Cranes and Burger’s R&D team, the successful export of the SCL10000 to Chile is indicative of the Chinese manufacturer’s growing stature in the global crane market. The Sany SCL10000 successfully combines the flexibility and mobility of an all-terrain crane with the lifting power of a lattice boom crawler crane, offering both a strong lifting capacity and efficient transportation.

The 1000-tonne capacity all-terrain machine can reach a maximum lifting height of 170m where it can lift at a maximum capacity of 171 tonnes, making it a suitable option for the installation of wind turbines under six megawatts. Featuring a wide boom configuration of 4.5 metres, the crane’s lattice boom is efficient when it comes to its assembly and disassembly without any compromise on the machine’s lifting strength.

Purchased by the Santiago-based crane rental company Burger, the machine was specifically designed to meet the Chilean company’s stringent operational requirements. The collaboration between the two companies began when Burger sent engineers to China for in-depth, technical discussions, before design improvements were made to meet Burger’s demands.

Before the equipment was shipped, the customer visited in person and conducted extremely rigorous tests on the equipment, carrying out comprehensive evaluations of its lifting performance.

News of the delivery of the Sany SCL10000 comes after leading Australian equipment distributor Tutt Bryant took possession of the SCL10000 all-terrain crane to distribute across Australia.
