Rothmund GmbH und Montage has bolstered its fleet with the addition of a fourth LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane from Liebherr, cementing its commitment to high-performance equipment.
The Pforzheim-based company’s latest acquisition reaffirms its confidence in the Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 model, noted for its remarkable flexibility and 75-metre telescopic boom. This marks Rothmund’s fourth purchase of the 230-tonne, 5-axle crane since 2020.
Managing Director Heiko Brückner highlighted the crane’s versatile design as a key motivator for the repeat investment. “We’ve bought our now fourth LTM 1230-5.1 because this crane simply represents the ideal concept for us. With the variable VarioBase® support, along with the variable VarioBallast® ballast radius and different ballast variations, we’re able to use it on a vast range of jobs. Added to this are its high lifting capacities and very long 75-metre telescopic boom,” Brückner said.
Describing the crane as a “real all-rounder,” Brückner added, “Thanks to its flexibility, [it] is hugely popular – including for concrete and steel construction, tower crane assemblies and industrial jobs.”
Since 2021, Rothmund has received ten new Liebherr mobile cranes, underscoring a robust partnership. Brückner cited product quality, high resale values, and exceptional customer support as pivotal reasons for the continued collaboration.
“Apart from the quality and high resale prices, the excellent support is what makes us choose Liebherr. Customer service is professional and speedy, just like the spare parts supply. And one thing that’s really important for us: the standardised operation of Liebherr cranes, whether they’re large or small. This means we’re able to deploy our operators flexibly across all our cranes,” he noted.
Founded in 1982, Rothmund GmbH started as a small crane business in Pforzheim. Rapid growth saw the company operating three cranes within its first eighteen months, expanding to five after five years. Today, Rothmund’s fleet exceeds 20 cranes.
Beyond crane operations, Rothmund has evolved into a comprehensive service provider, offering heavy-duty and machinery transport, business relocations, and a range of specialised equipment, including heavy-duty crawler transporters, air cushion systems, loading cranes, and miniature crawler cranes.
