Raimondi Cranes has expanded its T Series range with the launch of the new T87 flat-top tower crane, with the first units already delivered and installed on sites in Italy and France.
Presented in Milan this week, the T87 is the successor to the long-running MRT84 and has been developed for small to medium-sized construction projects. The new model combines lightweight design, modular components and updated control technology to suit jobsites where space and access are limited.
The T87 is available in two configurations, offering either a maximum lifting capacity of 5 tonnes with II/IV falls or 3 tonnes with permanent II falls. This flexibility allows rental companies and contractors to use the same crane platform across different project requirements.
Designed with transport and installation in mind, the T87 has a heaviest single component weighing less than 3 tonnes and an 8-metre counterjib. The full 51-metre jib, including counterweights, can be transported using just two articulated trucks, helping to simplify logistics and erection, particularly in urban environments.

The T87-5t model delivers a tip load of 1.38 tonnes at 51 metres in UltraLift mode and reaches a maximum hoisting speed of 78.7 metres per minute using a 22 kW hoist.
“The first units of the T87 have already been delivered to several key accounts across France and Italy, with installations now active in regions like Lombardia, Marche, and Campania. Early feedback confirms the crane’s agility and adaptability across diverse site conditions,” said Mauro Masetti, Sales Director at Raimondi Cranes.
One of the first installations was completed by Tecnoedicasa in the historic Italian town of Ascoli Piceno. The crane was installed with a 51-metre jib and a hook height of 45 metres in a tightly constrained neighbourhood with limited site access.
The location did not allow for articulated trucks, placing added importance on crane weight and component size. The T87’s lightweight design, jib sections limited to six metres and modular construction allowed the crane to be erected efficiently despite the restricted conditions.
In addition to its structural design, the T87 is equipped with Raimondi’s ConCore control system. The system allows for faster calibration, simplified commissioning and remote access for real-time monitoring and control. Raimondi said this supports improved safety, efficiency and maintenance planning throughout the crane’s working life.
“With its engineering refinements and jobsite adaptability, the T87 is set to become the optimal choice for contractors seeking a high performing, easily managed flat-top tower crane,” said Masetti.
Raimondi Cranes is headquartered in Milan and has delivered more than 17,000 cranes globally since being founded in 1863. The company is part of Arada Industries and continues to expand its range of lifting solutions for international markets.
