Raimondi Cranes to debut TRT 55US at CONEXPO 2026

Raimondi’s Terex Rough Terrain is set to present the TRT 55US at CONEXPO 2026, with the new model engineered primarily for the North American market.

The 55-tonne rough terrain crane has been designed to meet North American operational, regulatory and environmental requirements. It will mark the first product debut under the Raimondi North America banner, the newly established US entity led by Andreas Ernst as President.

Designed and developed in Italy by the Terex Rough Terrain team, the TRT 55US has been shaped by customer feedback from the American market. The model builds on the proven engineering of the Terex rough terrain range, now fully integrated into the Raimondi portfolio.

The crane features a compact design to make transport easier, an additional jib configuration for greater versatility, and a redesigned operator environment aimed at improving performance, precision and long-cycle efficiency.

The TRT 55US offers a 55-tonne lifting capacity and a maximum jib length of 122.7 feet (37.3 metre). It includes three telescoping boom modes for greater flexibility. The third mode, Proportional Telescoping Boom mode, is designed to simplify operator workflows.

The crane can reach a maximum tip height of 130 feet (39.62 metre) with the main boom. With an additional 26.25-foot jib, the maximum tip height extends to 157.5 feet (48 metre) for more demanding lifts.

Key features include optimised mobility for off-road conditions, improved load chart performance across the full working radius, and enhanced stability through upgraded control and monitoring systems. The crane has been developed to handle demanding duty cycles in energy, infrastructure and industrial construction projects across North America.

“This model reflects a focused engineering effort to align with North American performance expectations, safety standards, and application requirements,” said Andreas Ernst, President of Raimondi North America. “The new generation of rough terrains introduces a modern design approach built around high-quality components and advanced systems such as TEOS and T-Link, further elevating control, monitoring, and operational efficiency.”

Another integrated system is IdeaLift, which increases jobsite versatility by maximising the load chart through the use of asymmetric outriggers.

The TRT 55US will be one of the main highlights at CONEXPO 2026, where the Raimondi Group will present its consolidated lifting ranges for the first time.

“As the rough terrain cranes represent a new product category within the Raimondi’s portfolio, this launch reinforces the Group’s technical and industrial expansion following the acquisition of Terex’s key lifting segments,” said Luigi Maggioni, Group CEO, Raimondi.

A joint delegation from Terex Tower Cranes, Terex Rough Terrain Cranes and Raimondi executives will attend the event, giving visitors the opportunity to see the new model and explore the full range at Stand F18012 in the outdoor exhibition area.

Headquartered in Milan, Italy, Raimondi Cranes was founded in 1863 and has delivered more than 17,000 cranes worldwide. The company recently acquired select Terex lifting brands, including Terex Tower Cranes and Terex Rough Terrain Cranes, as part of its global expansion strategy.
