The Potain MCT 2205 topless tower crane has been named Product of the Year – Asia at the T50 Summit Asia Forum in Jakarta, recognising its innovation, performance and contribution to major infrastructure projects across the region.
The award highlights the crane’s role in supporting large and complex construction projects throughout Asia and the Middle East. It also reinforces Potain’s position in the high-capacity tower crane segment.

The Product of the Year – Asia award recognises equipment that demonstrates strong engineering, practical innovation and clear market relevance. The MCT 2205 stood out for its ability to support complex lifts while offering efficiency, productivity and flexibility for contractors working on demanding job sites.
As the largest topless tower crane in Potain’s Asia range, the MCT 2205 has a maximum lifting capacity of 80 tonnes and an 80 m jib, along with strong lifting performance at the jib end.
The crane also features a modular design that supports efficient transport, assembly and climbing. Its maintenance-friendly layout is designed to help maximise uptime and operational reliability.
The MCT 2205 is already being used on a number of high-capacity projects across Asia and the Middle East.
