Palfinger has revealed its new telematics platform that aims to provide crane operators a practical app to improve efficiency.

The Operator Monitor app, available on android and iOS systems, has also been designed to improve safety for crane and truck operators.

Key to this is the maintenance checklist feature, which tells an operator when they will need to perform servicing jobs on the crane, with included instruction. It aims to make scheduling the follow-up lubrication of guide blocks or a complete visual inspection more accessible.

The crane operator will also be able to view upcoming dates and plan for the scheduled downtime in advance.

The app shows the operator the precise status of the crane and its working radius under construction of the current stabiliser situation. It also aims to provide video, text and images on the individual functions of particular models of loader cranes.

In additional to the Operator Monitor, the company has released the Fleet Monitor to provide fleet managers and dispatchers with additional information.

Fleet monitor sims to provide a fleet manager with an overview containing all technical data and operating conditions for individual vehicles and allows for the user to check the operating times and monitor the safety of the fleet.

The Operator Monitor is available for Palfinger crane models in the TEC and SH series.
