Peck Tiong Choon, a Singapore-based logistics and transport company, has expanded its crane fleet with the addition of a Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1. This new mobile crane, with a 120-tonne lifting capacity and a 66-metre telescopic boom, is now the most powerful 4-axle crane in its fleet.
The company made this investment as part of a major project and an ongoing effort to modernise its 100-tonne class equipment.
“As part of our involvement in major projects like airport expansion, mass rapid transit (MRT) and other infrastructure developments, we decided to invest in the new LTM 1120-4.1. As the most powerful 4-axle crane on the market, it offers the capacity we need,” said Teow Seng Pay, Managing Director at Peck Tiong Choon Transport Pte Ltd and Peck Tiong Choon Logistics Pte Ltd.
“At the same time, it was the right moment to modernise our 100-tonne class.”
High performance meets daily practicality
The LTM 1120-4.1 is a compact yet powerful crane designed for flexibility on busy job sites. It features Liebherr’s VarioBase® system, which allows the crane’s outriggers to be set up flexibly depending on space and ground conditions — a key benefit for construction sites in Singapore’s dense urban environment.
The crane joins Peck Tiong Choon’s existing fleet, which includes twelve mobile cranes (from the LTM 1070-4.2 to the LTM 1750-9.1) and four LTR 1100 crawler cranes.
“The new crane will be used for short-term construction projects as well as daily crane rental operations,” Pay explained.
