New truck terrain crane revealed by American manufacturer

Link-belt's new truck terrain crane can lift up to 120 tonnes of weight at maximum capacity.

Crane manufacturer Link-Belt Cranes has developed an all new four axle, 120-tonne truck terrain crane to add to its line of products.

The American designer and manufacturer of telescopic and lattice boom cranes now holds five different classes of hydraulic truck cranes with the addition of the 120-TTLB machine.

The truck terrain crane features a 60-metre long, seven-section pin-and-latch boom on top of all-wheel steer and a tight turning radius. Providing an abundance of crane manoeuvrability, the all-wheel steer feature on the 120-TTLB means the crane excels in tight jobsite settings. A steerable rear axle with super single tires gives the 120-TTLB four steering modes – independent front, independent rear, combination, and crab.

The 120-TTLB comes with an air-ride suspension design and air disc brakes on a rear-steer truck crane for advanced braking performance. Powered by a Cummins EPA emissions compliant X12 Series engine and holding a top speed of 88 kilometres an hour, Link-Belt’s latest truck crane boasts economic fuel consumption in tandem with high engine performance.
