New Tadano AC 4.080-1 joins a growing fleet

German crane service provider H&S Autokrane has expanded its fleet with a new Tadano AC 4.080-1, strengthening its long-standing preference for Tadano machines. Three of the company’s five cranes now come from the manufacturer.

Tadano Sales Manager Helge Prüfer formally handed over the new crane to H&S Autokrane Managing Director Matthias Schug in Lauf. Matthias said he was pleased with the decision to add the AC 4.080-1, highlighting its combination of reach, size, and capability.

“With its 60-meter main boom and compact dimensions, the AC 4.080-1 is the gold standard in the 80-tonne class. It’s simply a great crane,” he said.

Matthias said the crane’s ability to carry a large amount of counterweight increases its versatility and makes it a cost-effective taxi crane for many jobs. He said this is supported by the IC-1 Plus control system, which enables operators to use the machine’s maximum available lifting capacity. In many cases, this means there is no need for a separate counterweight truck.

H&S Autokrane ordered the crane with a full equipment package, including the Surround View camera system. Matthias said this system makes it easier to position the crane on tight worksites, which is particularly important for tasks such as refinery work and steel-frame construction.

For Matthias, the AC 4.080-1 offers the best overall package for the company’s work. He also praised Tadano’s support. “Tadano really looks after me. Helge is great to deal with. He’s a perfect fit for us, both professionally and personally. And that’s another reason why we are always happy to go with Tadano,” he said.
