In a statement from Liebherr, LICCON3 is a welcome feature. “The LICCON3-controlled machine in the new design has already impressed the provider of turnkey industrial halls with its excellent performance as well as its outstanding driving characteristics on the road. High lifting capacities, precision and safety were the decisive criteria for Formac when purchasing its newest mobile crane.”

Initially, the mobile crane was sent from construction site-to-construction site; for its debut, the crane was assigned to a construction of an industrial warehouse near Toledo, carrying unit weights of 22-tonne.

Thereafter, the 110-tonne machine was used to extend a refinery, whereby a new building was being erected.

Lucinio Gallego, the mobile crane’s driver on the construction found the LICCON3 technology beneficial.

“The new LICCON3 control system is very good,” says Lucinio. “It’s very easy to use and I’m very happy with it. The crane works perfectly and without any problems,” said Lucinio.

Lucinio also spoke to the overall strength of the crane.

“I work with an assembly jib on the telescopic boom and two hook blocks. This allows me to set up the panels, which are delivered horizontally, vertically for the façade installation,” Lucinio said.

The 5-axle LTM 1110-5.2 has a maximum load capacity of 110-tonne, with a telescopic boom length of 60m and a maximum radius of 66m.

The mobile crane can carry up to 29-tonne of counterweight and at a travelling speed of 85,000kph.

Lucinio also compared the The LTM 1110-5.2 to a car.

“On the road, the new crane is simply fantastic. Actually, it’s like a car, only bigger. Perfect,” said Lucinio.

Formac, S.A General Manager of Commercial, José Luis Urda said the LTM 1110-5.2, with its LICCON3 achieves three key components.

“As we mostly assemble heavy parts in the course of our work, the Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2 mobile crane not only offers us greater reach and precision, but also increases safety, which is a top priority at Formac,” said José.

José also said the relationship with Liebherr is in a good place and Formac, S.A are going to continue expanding their fleet with Liebherr cranes. This is due to the “high quality and reliability of Liebherr products as well as the excellent support from their customer service.”
