NMG, the official authorised distributor of Zoomlion cranes in Australia, has released a new buyer-awareness message to help the industry understand the differences between cranes supplied through authorised channels and those entering the country through other sources.
The company said the aim is to give crane owners, rental companies, and buyers clearer information so they can make informed decisions about compliance, support, and long-term value.
NMG said it has recently seen a small number of Zoomlion cranes offered for sale in Australia that were originally built for other global regions. These machines have not been supplied, inspected, or supported by Zoomlion or NMG.
Because of this, NMG said they do not carry factory-backed compliance certification, genuine parts assurance, official software updates (including EN13000), warranty coverage, or authorised after-sales and technical support.
The company said buying through an authorised dealer ensures every crane meets the correct Australian standards, specifications, and safety requirements. Zoomlion cranes are designed for multiple markets worldwide, and NMG said it is important that Australian buyers receive the versions engineered for local regulations.
NMG also said the import and sale of cranes intended for other regions, presented as authorised Australian-market products, is not a practice endorsed by Zoomlion and does not reflect the standards of product integrity and support the company upholds.
As part of its awareness push, NMG is encouraging buyers to contact them if they are unsure about the origin or authenticity of any Zoomlion crane being offered for sale. The company said its team is available to help verify equipment so customers can buy with confidence.
The message is designed to support the lifting industry by improving transparency and giving buyers clear guidance on how to make sure the cranes they purchase are fully compliant and backed by the correct factory support.
