When Brent Coleman from B&M Cranes decided he needed more capacity in his fleet, he knew exactly where to turn. For many years he has been relying on the advice and service provided by the team at Crane Connection.
B&M Cranes recently took delivery of a 2019 model Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2, a 90 tonne capacity all terrain. It is the second 90 tonne capacity Liebherr in the fleet and the second to be delivered by Crane Connection.
Brent has been operating cranes and large types of equipment for over 20 years.
“For a long time, I travelled all over the country operating cranes, as well as large construction and mining equipment. In 2018 my wife and I decided we were ready to start a family and being away from home for large chunks of time didn’t seem so attractive.
“Rather than working for someone else, I decided it was time to back myself in the ‘crane game’ and we started B&M Cranes with a 20 tonne Franna,” said Brent.
B&M Cranes operates in Gippsland, eastern Victoria and surrounds, providing a taxi crane service for anyone who needs a lift.
“We’ve worked hard to establish the business, and we’ve let the quality of our work do the talking,” said Brent. “We will lift anything from pools and spas into backyards through to complex lifts for construction companies. Our crews have a ‘can do’ attitude putting the customer and their requirements first, which stands us in good stead for future business.
“We work hard on the culture of the business, our crews back each other and no job is too big or too small, which leads to positive outcomes for our customers. This approach has led to significant growth over the last few years, and we now operate 11 pieces of equipment including our support vehicles. At any one time we can be running a team of up to 16, including casuals.”
Over several years B&M Cranes has developed a strong working relationship with Anthony Davis and the team at Crane Connection.
“We’ve got to know Anthony and the team really well, we rely on their advice when it comes to purchasing cranes as the fleet expands and we trust their judgement in terms of where they source the cranes,” said Brent. “Anthony has a global network of used crane distributors and dealers and my understanding is this Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 came out of Hong Kong.

The Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 is a mobile crane model known for its exceptional mobility, power, and economy. The relationship between Brent and the Crane Connection team has grown over the years.
“I’ve known Anthony and Ben for many years and over that time we’ve developed a great friendship which means when it comes to business it is really straight forward,” Brent said. “As I’ve said we trust their judgement, they are always very fair with their appraisal of the cranes they bring in, their pricing is always reasonable and they deliver what they say they will, in full.
“In fact, they go above and beyond for their customers. We were really pleased with the latest Liebherr, they kept us posted every step of the way and delivered the crane in a timely manner.
“We did have an issue with one of the tyres, I called Anthony and within a couple of days two new tyres arrived in the yard. That is service.”
