German crane company Jandt Kranvermietung has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 as it celebrates decades of growth and long-standing partnerships.
The business was founded in 1950 by Friedrich Jandt and has grown from doing excavation and transport work to running a modern crane fleet across multiple sites. The company now operates around 40 vehicles from its branches in Bielefeld, Bad Salzuflen, Detmold, Gütersloh and Holzminden.

Managing Director Jens Lübeck said the company’s success comes down to the people behind it. “Our strong team makes the difference. We have employees who have been with us from the start of their careers until retirement. Their experience and expertise are invaluable.”
Jens travelled to Liebherr’s manufacturing plant in Ehingen to receive the anniversary crane. He said the LTM 1060-3.1 already plays a key role in the fleet.
“We already operate three LTM 1060-3.1s in our fleet. The Liebherr 60-tonne crane is a powerful 3-axle vehicle that can be used universally, from house construction to installation of air conditioning technology to industrial applications. The compact crane is even in high demand for putting up Christmas trees, as this usually involves working in very confined spaces. The new LTM 1060-3.1 is now replacing an older machine of our three 60-tonne cranes.”
Jandt currently operates 20 telescopic mobile cranes, most of them from Liebherr.
“The vast majority bear the Liebherr logo. We are particularly proud of our fleet of mobile construction cranes. It consists of two Liebherr MK 88-4.1 and MK 140-5.1 cranes, which can reach distances of up to 65 metres,” Jens said.

Managing Director Sven Diercks said the company continues to invest in Liebherr because of the manufacturer’s performance and support. “We are impressed by Liebherr’s quality. We also appreciate the cooperative relationship and Liebherr’s innovative strength. At the Bauma trade fair in April, we ordered two brand new crane types from Liebherr, the new economical LTM 1055-3.3 and the new powerful LTM 1400-6.1. Both cranes will be delivered to us next year. Liebherr mobile cranes also have the advantage of being operated in the same way, from small to large cranes. This makes the drivers’ work easier and allows us to deploy our personnel flexibly.”
Jandt bought its first Liebherr cranes in the early 1980s. The first was a truck-mounted LT 1090, followed later by the LTM 1060 all-terrain crane, one of Liebherr’s early 4-axle 60-tonne models designed for both on-road and off-road work.
