Manitowoc has opened a new regional customer support facility in Bouaye, in the southeastern suburbs of Nantes, France. The company said the move strengthens its commitment to local customer support in the region.
The new site will support Potain and Grove customers with a wide range of service capabilities. It sits on 11,000 m² of land and includes a 7,300 m² secure outdoor storage yard equipped with a Potain MD 365 yard crane with a 16-tonne maximum load and 70 m jib. There is also a 600 m² indoor workshop with parts storage, a mechanic and welding area, and a 10-tonne overhead crane.
A team of technical experts based at Bouaye will provide preventive and curative maintenance through tailored service contracts, as well as reconditioning and regulatory examinations for tower cranes. Manitowoc said the investment supports its long-term strategy to improve productivity and jobsite safety while delivering local, high-quality service.
The Bouaye facility joins the company’s existing network of eight service points across France, including Bordeaux, Toulouse, Méru, Orléans, Dole, Lyon, Marseille and Nice.
“Our new facility will allow us to better serve customers by improving service and repair capabilities, increasing parts availability. We are positioning ourselves to meet growing market demands with more products and better service offerings, making it easier for our customers to maintain and repair their cranes efficiently” said Jérôme Chanel Vice President Sales & Aftermarket Tower Europe.
