The awards, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the South American crane industry, celebrate jobs successfully accomplished throughout the year and platform crane rental companies for the services they provided to ensure jobs were completed effectively. Of the 16 projects that won awards, seven of them were handed out to official Manitowoc partners, with Luciano Dias, Manitowoc’s Sales Director in Brazil, speaking of the company’s joy in seeing its machines help contractors win awards.

“We are very proud to see our partners recognized for their fantastic work and helping contractors find the right crane for the right job,” he said. “Top Crane Brasil is a reputable award in our industry, and it encourages companies to seek peak performance and earn recognition at the end of the year.”

Among the highlights were Brazilian company, Guindastec, using a GMK6350 and a GMK6300L-1 at a job on a highway serving as one of the main connections between the city and Brazil’s Midwest region, and Saraiva deploying a fleet of eight Manitowoc cranes to lift and move a metal module structure on a shipyard in the South of Brazil. The fleet included two Manitowoc 18000 crawler cranes and six Grove rough-terrain cranes: four RT540E, one RT650E, and one RT760E. The highlight, however, was Transdata mobilising a Manitowoc 18000 crawler crane at a natural gas thermoelectric plant expansion in Porto do Acu, Rio. According to the manufacturer, the project presented a few challenges that were successfully negotiated by the machine on the job site.

The 14th edition of the Top Crane Brasil 2023 awards ceremony took place in Sao Paulo at the end of the year. Over the last decade, the award has gained a reputation for recognising the best in the industry.
