Mammoet UK has purchased a range of new cranes to expand its fleet to cope with the rising demand for energy and infrastructure projects.
The global civil engineering, heavy lift, and logistics specialist purchased a range of new cranes, including Liebherr’s LR1300SX, LR1600, MK140, LTM 1110, and a Terex-Demag CC2400 among others, making them immediately available for nationwide use to offer increased lifting resources to the renewables industry.
“Mammoet UK has experienced significant growth and we are proud to invest in additional cranes and personnel to support our customers’ needs,” said Mark Sadler, Managing Director of Mammoet UK.
An array of wind, nuclear, carbon reduction, and other environmentally conscious projects have come forth on the back of the UK’s commitments to net-zero emissions by 2050, which has resulted in a sharp rise in demand for Mammoet’s heavy lifting and transport services.
The new machines have been purchased to account for the delivery of the UK’s sustainability goals, which requires a range of heavy lifting and transportation equipment to facilitate their development. Mammoet, active in all construction sectors in the UK across its eight different facilities in the region, made the new investment to offer its service to a growing list of clients and expand its operational capacities.
“With these additions, we can continue to deliver safe and efficient lifting solutions that meet the growing demands of our clients across the UK,” said Sadler.
Mammoet has been operating in the UK for over 40 years now, providing a range of heavy lifting and transport solutions across the area.
