Liebherr mobile cranes central to company’s modernisation strategy

I&H has acquired five new Liebherr mobile cranes.

Leipzig-based crane hire company, I&H, has advanced its fleet modernisation plans with the acquisition of five new Liebherr mobile cranes.

Taking delivery of the cranes five months ago, I&H paid testimony to its perceived quality in the Liebherr brand, adding an LTM 1030-2.1 and an LTM 1070-4.2, before travelling to the Liebherr factory in Ehingen to collect an LTM 1050-3.1, an LTM 1060-3.1, and an LTM 1250-5.1. According to Nils Laumann, Operations Manager at I&H, the Leipzig crane hire company expects a “high level of reliability” – something that he says Liebherr is well known for.

“Liebherr is known for this in the industry, as well as for its fast supply of spare parts and outstanding service,” he said. “The local Liebherr branch in Alt-Bork, not far from Berlin, supports us very well in this regard.”

The range of new cranes are designed to further I&H’s operational capacity for demanding construction projects, with the company inclining the sub-100-tonne capacity models will mainly be used for taxi crane works. The five-axle, 250-tonne LTM 1250-5.1, however, would be reserved specifically for precast concrete assembly work, thanks to its telescopic boom that can extend out to 60m, with a further 50m available from its lattice jib extension.

I&H is a family business based in Leipziger Land region and was founded in 2002 with a central focus on the crane hire sector.
