Liebherr has ‘Hands on the Future’ at Bauma 2025

Liebherr bauma

Under the theme “Hands on the Future,” Liebherr is set to showcase construction site solutions at Bauma 2025, the world’s largest trade fair for construction machinery.

The company’s exhibition booth, featuring more than 70 machines and innovations, is a massive temporary structure to be built from scratch and dismantled after the event. The 14,000 square metres (m²) outdoor area is twice the size of a football field and took six months to construct. The setup involved 1,200 tonnes of steel, 75 kilometres of cables, and 200 truckloads of materials

The crane manufacturer is bringing more than 70 machines from various product categories, including earthmoving, mining, cranes, concrete technology, and deep foundation equipment. To support the exhibit, up to 2,000 Liebherr employees from nearly 50 countries will be on-site.

Liebherr will showcase its latest crane control systems, remote operation technology, and autonomous construction concepts. Visitors will also get a first look at new mining technologies, including the Liebherr Power Rail and advanced material handling solutions.

The InnovationLab at Liebherr’s booth will explore alternative drive systems, digital construction solutions, and advanced material technologies.

Liebherr will also run a live demonstration of an autonomous working wheel loader in the outdoor area. The basis for this is the in-house developed autonomous driving system called ‘Liebherr Autonomous Operations’, which is being presented to the wider public for the first time.

The autonomous solution, which is at an advanced stage of development, facilitates completely driverless operation.

Bauma visitors can also discover the Liebherr Remote Control System (LiReCon) for crawler dozers. The new PR 776 G8 70-tonne crawler dozer can be controlled remotely for more flexibility.
