An additional Liebherr STS crane has made its way to a US port terminal.

Philadelphia’s PSA Penn Terminals has taken delivery of a third Liebherr ship to shore (STS) crane, complementing the two commissioned on site in 2018.
The new 130 tonne STS crane features an 48m outreach, an 18.288m span, and a 15m back reach.
The STS also has a lift height of 35m over rail and a safe working load (SWL) of 66 tonnes.
Liebherr says its STS cranes achieve up to 99.6 per cent availability during actual vessel operation.
STS container cranes are custom designed with a range of outreaches and specifications according to individual customer requirements from – Panamax size through to the largest Megamax cranes.
Safe working loads from 40 to 120 tonnes are available in single, twin and tandem lift configuration.
John Brennan, President, and CEO of PSA Penn Terminals said the new crane would help boost operational efficiency and capacity at the terminal.

Over 130 Liebherr maritime cranes are playing a crucial role in the region, as Liebherr remains a trusted partner for US ports.
