The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) is reminding members that its logo is more than a brand, saying it represents internationally recognised standards and must only be used in line with the association’s strict rules.
LEEA Director of Membership Matt Barber said the logo was a symbol of quality that members had to earn through the association’s assessment process.
“The LEEA logo represents assurance of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association gold standard – a standard that is sacrosanct, which means any member carrying the LEEA logo must earn it.”
Members gain the right to display the logo after completing LEEA’s Membership Assessment, which is designed to help businesses stand out in the market while supporting the association’s goal of eliminating accidents, injuries and fatalities across the lifting industry.
According to LEEA, the logo has become a recognised mark of assurance across global industries including construction, manufacturing, logistics, marine, defence, oil and gas, ports, healthcare and entertainment. The association said businesses looking for lifting equipment or related services can use the logo to identify companies that meet its standards.
LEEA said use of the logo is protected by copyright and governed by detailed terms and conditions. Full members may use the standard logo or one marked “Full Member”, while associate members can use a version identifying them as associate members. Provisional members are not permitted to use the logo.
The association also sets rules covering how the logo is reproduced, including its size, colours and placement. It can be used on items such as inspection reports, stationery, promotional material, advertising, exhibition stands, clothing, vehicles and signs, provided it remains clear and does not imply endorsement of a specific product.
LEEA also prohibits the use of its main logo on training certificates. Instead, members of its Accredited Training Scheme must use the appropriate ATS logo for accredited courses. Organisations that leave the association must stop using the logo and remove or cover it on any remaining material.
Matt encouraged members to familiarise themselves with the logo guidelines to help maintain the association’s standards.
“Please be sure to read the full terms and conditions of using the LEEA logo because they are important part of upholding our gold standard. If you have any questions, contact mail@leeaint.com.”
“LEEA badge holders are trusted partners and there will be no dilution in terms of quality among the membership – they must have the processes and people in place as well as a commitment to ongoing excellence.”
“We want more lifting equipment providers, service companies and individuals to become members and earn the LEEA badge to further spread our gold standard. There are many great reasons to join our Association and I would encourage anybody who is interested in doing so to visit https://leeaint.com/benefits for more information.”
