LEEA releases new version of its Connect App

The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) has launched the second version of its LEEA Connect App and is making it free to download for the public.

Delivering technical guidance, documentation, the latest LEEA news feeds, and safety alerts LEEA’s new app also holds the LEEA Library and other information straight into a user’s smart device.

Previously, LEEA’s Connect App was only available to members of the lifting safety association, but the updated version can now be downloaded by all engineers, examiners, or anyone with an interest in the technical and safety aspects of lifting operations.

“The previous version of the Connect App was only available to members,” said CEO Ross Moloney, “but making the new LEEA Connect App publicly available opens up a huge opportunity for anybody involved in lifting to benefit, for example, from directly accessing LEEA’s Code of Practice, technical guidance and expert advice.”

Featured in LEEA’s new app is a news feed linked to a portal where all the latest LEEA news, videos, documents and LinkedIn posts are shown. Additionally, content such as LEEA guidance documents, videos and more can be downloaded directly to a mobile device where it can be accessed offline. The app also gives direct access to LEEA’s extensive collection of documents and resources related to the lifting industry.

Members still retain a level of exclusivity within the app and its content, however, with a member login required to access restricted content for those signed up to the association. Current LEEA Connect App users will not need to re-download as long as they have automatic app updates enabled, which will automatically upgrade to the latest version.

“We firmly believe this will increase awareness of best practice, ultimately leading to safer lifting operations,” Moloney said.

The app is available for all mobile devices via the Apple Store and Google Play store. For further information, visit leeaint.com.
