Konecranes wins massive reach stacker contract

Konecranes has won its largest-ever reach stacker contract from a customer in Germany, which includes modifications to allow for stacking containers.

Konecranes has won its largest-ever reach stacker contract from a customer in Germany.

The order for 39 Konecranes SMV 2216 TC3 reach stackers includes modifications to allow for the stacking of 22 t, 16 t and 6 t containers.

The contract was won with Konecranes’ distributor Richter Fördertechnik GmbH & Co. KG. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q3 2020 and run until Q1 2021.

“This was a long-negotiated contract that involved many people across the organisation, and we are pleased with the result and grateful for the work done with our partner, Richter Fördertechnik GmbH & Co. KG,” Konecranes Lift Trucks Sales Manager – Germany Ralf Gowin said.

“We are honoured to have received this, our largest reach stacker order ever. Germany is a very important market for us, and this particular order shows great trust in our service support. The cooperation with Richter was key to the awarding of this contract,” Konecranes Lift Trucks Regional Sales Director – Europe Patrik Starck said.
