Ideal Crane Rental Inc. has expanded its fleet by purchasing an LTR 1150 telescopic crawler crane at Bauma 2025 in Munich, Germany.
The Wisconsin-based family business, which has been providing lifting services for over 50 years, now offers a broader range of Liebherr LTR cranes, including the LTR 1100 and LTR 1220, to its customers.
The new LTR 1150 crane combines the benefits of all-terrain and crawler cranes. It is capable of of moving over various terrains. The crawler travel gear means that unlike all-terrain cranes, no outriggers are required – which means the crane can also be moved with the load on its hook. Additionally, the telescopic boom, which is commonly found on all-terrain cranes, enables a wide range of radii to be achieved quickly and easily compared to conventional crawler cranes.
It also features economical transport, as it can be moved entirely with its crawler carriers on a single low loader, reducing costs before and after projects. The crane can be used for prefabricated part assembly, long term use in the energy sector, auxiliary crane jobs for erecting wind turbines and even infrastructure projects.
