Heavy lifting giants enter strategic partnership

Mammoet has entered a strategic partnership with Aertssen Machinery Services.

Global engineered heavy lifting specialist Mammoet has entered a strategic partnership with Belgium’s Aertssen Machinery Services (AMS) to better service the industry sectors in Qatar.

Announcing the “groundbreaking” strategic partnership in a press release on January 15, Mammoet and AMS – a renowned heavy-lifting company – will join forces to “…meet the increasing demands” of Qatar’s market, which has seen large investment in its energy and infrastructure sectors. According to the press release, the alliance between the two heavy-lifting and transport specialists aims to “capitalise on the individual strengths” of the companies, with Jack van den Brink, Managing Director of Mammoet MEA and APAC, saying the move would allow both businesses to “leverage the collective strengths of Mammoet and AMS.

“By combining our capabilities, we are well-positioned to serve projects in Qatar,” he said, “with the aim to bring greater efficiency for all of our customers there.”

Tony Nuyts, General Manager of Aertssen Machinery Service MENA, echoed van den Brink’s sentiments, speaking of AMS’ pride in being involved in such a partnership.

“We are proud to be part of this partnership and look forward to providing solutions across various sectors, including the construction, civil, infrastructure, oil and gas and power sectors,” he said. “This collaboration enables us to offer versatile solutions, ranging from small mobile cranes for quick operations to complex engineered heavy lifting and transport projects.”

The strategic partnership between Mammoet and AMS aims to deliver turnkey project logistics and installation solutions, with the overarching goal of bringing facilities online faster and positioning both organisations as “key players” in Qatar’s heavy lifting and transport landscape.
