Bahrain-based Haji Hassan Cranes (HHC) has added a Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 and two LTM 1090-4.2 cranes to its fleet for upcoming infrastructure projects across the Kingdom.
The new machines bring HHC’s total fleet to 13 mobile cranes, ranging in lifting capacity from 50 to 500 tonnes (t).
The company provides rental services for cranes and has previously had models LTM 1500-8.1 and LTM 1070-4.2 in their fleet.
General Manager Manaf Al Sarabi explained that Liebherr’s technology and after-sales support made buying the new Liebherr cranes an easy decision. “They’re transparent, helpful and always available when we need advice or spare parts,” he said.
Haji Hassan Cranes’ new machines will be used across several sectors, including:
• Oil refineries and petrochemical plants
• Steelworks and general construction
• Prefabricated concrete assembly
• Loading and transport tasks
• Sewage treatment plant upgrades
• HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system handling
The new LTM 1160-5.2 crane will fill a gap in the company’s lineup between its 120-tonne and 300t cranes. This model can lift 180t and can work on different job sites.
The two LTM 1090-4.2 cranes will replace older 80t models. These new 90t cranes have a 60-metre (m) main boom and feature Liebherr’s latest technologies.
