Swiss tower crane rental company Interkran has ordered 18 Raimondi flat-top tower cranes as part of a fleet expansion program aimed at meeting growing demand in the country’s construction sector.
Interkran, which has been Raimondi’s distributor in Switzerland for more than 20 years, has ordered seven MRT159s, five MRT189s, one MRT234 and five MRT294 cranes.
The first ten units have already been delivered and deployed on projects across Switzerland. These include two MRT294-16t cranes, seven MRT159-8t cranes and one MRT234.
“We are reinforcing the company’s ability to support construction projects across the Swiss market by continuing to invest in our fleet with several new Raimondi cranes,” said Antonio Teixeira, General Manager of Interkran.
Interkran currently operates a fleet of around 250 Raimondi cranes and continues to strengthen its position in the regional tower crane rental market.
“We selected these specific models due to their lifting capacities, operational versatility, significant load charts, and ease of installation; key characteristics required to support a diverse range of complex applications across the country,” Antonio said.
The first ten cranes have been installed across two residential development projects in north-east Switzerland, where efficient assembly, adaptability and lifting performance are key requirements.
The remaining eight cranes are scheduled for delivery in the coming weeks and will be deployed on major infrastructure projects across the country.
Raimondi said the new machines will further strengthen the presence of its cranes on high-profile Swiss developments.
