First Tadano AC 5.250L-2 for France

Long-time Tadano partner Sotrama has become the first company in France to take delivery of the Tadano AC 5.250L-2 all terrain crane, strengthening its fleet and reaffirming a partnership built on trust and reliability.

With more than 70 years of experience across construction, shipbuilding, and industrial sectors in Brittany and beyond, Sotrama continues to expand its capabilities in lifting, heavy handling, industrial relocation, demolition, and transport. The addition of the AC 5.250L-2 reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering the most advanced and versatile lifting solutions to its customers.

The 250-tonne crane features a 79-metre main boom and a maximum system length of 109 metres, enabling it to take on projects from industrial installations to compact urban construction sites. Its ability to remain under the 12-tonne axle load limit means faster, permit-free travel between jobs, while the optional 91-metre boom extension enhances flexibility on site.

“We already operate several Tadano all terrain cranes, which demonstrate excellent performance and reliability,” said Peggy Guenault, General Manager of Sotrama. “We have just received our new crane, equipped with the necessary extensions to extend the boom to 91 metres, and it is already in operation. We are not wasting any time. Such a reach on a 250-ton crane is simply remarkable.”

Equipped with Tadano’s IC-1 Plus control system and self-erecting jib extensions, the AC 5.250L-2 delivers strong lifting performance in all conditions. Optional features like the Surround View camera system further improve jobsite safety and setup efficiency.

Beyond its on-site capabilities, the crane offers impressive travel flexibility, with configurations for both 12-tonne and 16.5-tonne axle loads. Its Mercedes-Benz EU Stage V engine, Eco Mode, and fuel-saving start/stop system help reduce environmental impact without compromising performance.

Olivier Roy, Sales Manager at Tadano, thanked Sotrama for its continued partnership. “We’re proud to deliver the first AC 5.250L-2 in France to Sotrama, a valued partner who truly understands the importance of performance, reliability, and innovation. We thank them for their continued trust and wish them great success with their new crane.”

With the arrival of the AC 5.250L-2, Sotrama continues to strengthen its lifting capabilities and reaffirm its mission to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative solutions for its customers.
