Vertical Equipamentos has added a Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 compact crane to its fleet, marking the first time a Liebherr compact crane will be used in Brazil.
The three-axle machine was designed for work in restricted spaces and will mainly be used in refineries and petrochemical plants. With a lifting height of up to 48 metres and a load capacity of 50 tonnes, it is suited for complex lifting tasks on tight sites.
Company owner Almiro Calmon said the crane was a perfect fit for the type of work Vertical Equipamentos does. “Our priority is to offer the right solutions for particularly challenging job locations too. The LTC 1050-3.1 was developed especially for use in the industrial sector and is ready for use straight away on site. Thanks to its compact dimensions, it will meet our requirements perfectly,” he said.
The purchase was a strategic move aimed at strengthening the company’s position in critical industries. “We firmly believe that this is the ideal crane for our new challenges,” Almiro said.
At just 2.55 metres wide, the crane offers mobility and flexibility without compromising on lifting performance. It can travel on public roads with its full ballast, jib and hook block mounted, while still meeting the 12-tonne axle load limit. Short setup times also add to its efficiency.
Other features include an elevated tilting cab for better visibility, ECOmode for reduced fuel use and Liebherr’s VarioBase® technology for safer operation.
Almiro said the long-term partnership with Liebherr was also a key factor in the decision. “These are crucial factors that strengthen our faith in Liebherr and which also have a positive impact on our customers’ satisfaction,” he said.
