French crane and transport company Les Transports Toussaint has expanded its fleet with a new Liebherr LTM 1055-3.3 mobile crane, becoming one of the first companies in France to take delivery of the model.
The family-owned business said the new three-axle crane supports its strategy of providing flexible regional lifting services while reducing transport and set-up times.
“With its high mobility and roadworthiness, the LTM 1055-3.3 fits perfectly with our fleet strategy and expands our range of operations in the regional lifting business,” said Tony Toussaint, Head of Lifting Technology at Les Transports Toussaint.
“We opted for the mobile crane because, with 9 tonnes of ballast, it can travel on public roads with an axle load of 12 tonnes. This makes the LTM 1055-3.3 ideal for use as a ‘taxi crane’,” he said.
The ability to travel with 9 tonnes of ballast means the crane can complete many jobs without requiring additional counterweight transport, improving efficiency by reducing travel and set-up times.
The LTM 1055-3.3 has a maximum lifting capacity of 55 tonnes, a 40-metre telescopic boom, lifting heights of up to 54 metres and a maximum outreach of 46 metres, making it one of the most capable cranes in the three-axle class.
The crane has already completed its first project in the Greater Paris area, where its mobility supported lifting operations while complementing the company’s wider transport services.
The latest addition also creates further synergies between the company’s crane and transport operations, allowing it to offer customers a more complete logistics and lifting solution.
The purchase follows the introduction of a Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 taxi crane at the end of 2025, continuing the company’s investment in modern mobile crane technology.
