Everwilling Group has taken delivery of the first Liebherr LTM 1400-6.1 mobile crane in Australia, expanding its heavy-lift capabilities with what is regarded as the world’s most powerful six-axle mobile crane.
The 450-tonne crane will become the largest unit in the company’s fleet and is expected to play a key role in major infrastructure and industrial projects across New South Wales.
The family-owned business, based in New South Wales, selected the Liebherr LTM 1400-6.1 for its high lifting capacity, compact design and advanced technology.
“A few years ago, we identified the need to replace our LTM 1300-6.1 with a crane that is equally compact on site and on the road, while offering significantly higher lifting capacity,” said Steve Allen, General Manager of the Everwilling Group.
“The increasing demand for heavy-lift solutions in major infrastructure and industrial projects in New South Wales further reinforced our decision in favour of the Liebherr LTM 1400-6.1.”
The investment reflects growing demand from customers and forms part of the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its operational capabilities.
Everwilling’s decision was also influenced by its experience operating Liebherr equipment over many years.
One example is the company’s LTM 1300-6.1, delivered in 2009, which has accumulated more than 25,000 operating hours. The 300-tonne crane has remained in service under demanding conditions and will now be traded back, refurbished and returned to the market.
According to Everwilling, the crane’s long service life highlights the durability and residual value of Liebherr mobile cranes.
The new LTM 1400-6.1 offers high lifting capacity, long reach and a range of modern crane technologies designed to improve efficiency and safety on site.
“We see the LTM 1400-6.1 as the optimal combination of performance and efficiency,” said Steve.
“We were particularly impressed by its high mobility, short setup times and advanced safety and control systems, which significantly increase efficiency on site.”
The crane will be used on a range of projects, including the installation of steel and precast concrete components, data centre construction, maintenance work and other high-capacity lifting applications.
“With the LTM 1400-6.1, we are significantly expanding our capabilities and can support customers even in complex and technically demanding projects,” said Steve.
“It will be the largest crane in our fleet and will play a key role in our company’s future growth”.
Everwilling said its long-standing relationship with Liebherr was another important factor behind the purchase.

Founded in 1982 by Gordon Henderson, Everwilling Group is an Australian family-owned business employing around 90 people. The company operates a fleet of 25 cranes, including 14 Liebherr units, supporting projects across the construction sector.
