Ritchie Bros., an auctioneer in the Australian equipment industry, is marking its 30th anniversary in the country with a special live auction event. The auction will take place in Geelong from June 18 to June 20, offering a wide range of equipment, including earthmovers and transport packages featuring late-model Kenworths. Interested buyers can inspect these assets in person or online prior to the auction.
Ritchie Bros. arrived in Australia in 1995. The company started with a single yard in Wacol, Queensland and has grown to operate eight auction sites in the region. The company employs over 100 people across fields like sales, marketing, and logistics.
Over the years, Ritchie Bros. has introduced various new technologies in the bidding process. These include online bidding platforms, real-time market insights, and AI-powered asset valuations. The company will be combining the traditional live auction format with digital technology for the special anniversary event at Geelong.
Dom McGlinchey, APAC Sales Director at Ritchie Bros said, “For this special occasion, we are excited to bring back the live auction experience while seamlessly integrating it with the power of digital innovation.”
