Enerpac has expanded its Heavy Lifting Technology portfolio following the acquisition of Canadian company Hydra-Pac, Inc.
The move adds a new range of Split Flow Diesel Pumps designed for infrastructure, power generation and remote job sites where external power is unreliable or unavailable.
Split flow pumps play an important role in heavy lifting and skidding projects. They allow operators to control multiple hydraulic cylinders at the same time, helping move uneven loads safely and evenly during lifting, lowering and skidding.
Until now, these operations have typically relied on external power generators. This often required extensive cabling and detailed power planning, adding cost, time and complexity to projects.
With the acquisition, Enerpac now offers a new line of split flow pumps, including the Split Flow Pump – Diesel (SFP-D), which removes the need for external power. The system is self-contained, allowing lifting operations to be carried out without relying on generators or cables.
The company said the higher flow speeds of the new pumps also help deliver faster and safe operations.
“Enerpac Split Flow Diesel Pumps allow teams on heavy lifting and heavy moving jobs to simplify setup, reduce jobsite complexity, and perform split-flow lifting independently of fixed or reliable power infrastructure,” said Carsten Daft, Product Manager, Enerpac. “In turn, these features provide our customers a lower total job cost by allowing them to perform their job with fewer products and increased speed. This is a significant advantage for customers across many markets, including infrastructure and power generation.”
As part of the agreement, Enerpac Tool Group now owns all assets used in the manufacture and sale of Hydra-Pac branded equipment. This includes diesel, propane and electric split flow pumps, along with related ancillary products.
