German crane rental company CST Transporte has expanded its fleet with a new Grove GMK5200-1 all-terrain crane, reinforcing its investment in Grove equipment.
The 200-tonne capacity crane was supplied through KranAgentur Werner and joins a fleet that already includes a Grove GMK4090-1. The new crane will be used on construction, precast concrete installation, engineering and energy projects across Germany.
CST Transporte said the GMK5200-1 was selected for its lifting performance and versatility. A key advantage is its ability to travel around a jobsite carrying its full 70-tonne counterweight, reducing setup times and improving overall efficiency.
The company has also equipped the crane with an 18-metre hydraulic bi-fold swingaway jib to increase its operating range. Additional features include an LED working light package to improve visibility around the crane and extra storage boxes on both the superstructure and carrier for slings and other lifting accessories.
Another major factor in the purchase was the crane’s built-in Grove CONNECT telematics system. The system provides real-time machine data, helping the company manage preventive maintenance, improve fleet visibility and simplify communication with service teams.
CST Transporte will also be supported by Manitowoc’s German aftermarket headquarters in Langenfeld and its network of mobile service technicians to help maximise crane availability.
