Crane rental and heavy haulage company expands fleet with Tadano City crane

Dornseiff Autokrane und Schwertransporte has added another Tadano AC 3.045-1 City crane to its fleet as part of a trade-in program. Dornseiff has been providing crane and transport services in Germany for more than 70 years.

The company exchanged its older AC 40 City for the new model, bringing the number of AC 3.045-1 units in its fleet to four. Tadano accepted the used crane as a trade-in, with plans to overhaul and resell it. The new machine was handed over in Lauf by Tadano Sales Manager Helge Prüfer to Dornseiff site manager Anja Reger and crane operator Marco Wöltering.
To maximise efficiency, the new crane has been configured in the same way as the others already in service. It comes with a three-sheave 1.2-metre runner, a 15-tonne boom head traverse with shackle and hook, a 25-tonne hook traverse, and a 32-3/16/D hook block.

Anja said the crane will be used mainly for work inside buildings, including installing overhead cranes and moving machinery. “That’s something that it’s unbeatably good at – and its compact design certainly plays an important part in this. After all, it’s the kind of work that all terrain cranes can rarely handle due to their size,” she said.

“Many conventional mobile cranes reach their limits here,” Anja said. “However, the Tadano City crane masters work in this demanding environment with flying colors!”

Dornseiff employs 132 staff and operates from four locations in Burbach, Olpe, Siegen, Haiger, and Wetzlar. Its fleet includes 37 cranes with lifting capacities of up to 450 tonnes, along with more than 280 work platforms, forklifts, and mini cranes.

Tadano, founded in 1955, is a global lifting and access equipment manufacturer known for its safety, reliability, and innovation. The company’s equipment supports projects in construction, energy, and industrial sectors worldwide.
