Announced earlier in May, the crane and logistics services company revealed that the contract was awarded to provide crane services at Newmont’s Boddington Gold Operation in Western Australia for the next five years. According to Boom the contract is expected to generate $60 million in revenue across the initial five years of the contract, with the project commencing in the fourth quarter of FY24.
“The contract builds upon our relationship with Newmont where we have established a track record of executing and delivering large project work,” said Ben Pieyre, Boom Logistics’ CEO. “Boom is continuing to see a strong operating environment across our core markets and remain actively engaged in discussions for further work with a range of counterparties.”

News of Boom’s Newmont announcement comes after the crane hire and logistics provider revealed it was expecting an NPAT of $6 million, with Pieyre saying the contract with Newmont was testimony to the high level of quality service being provided by Boom.
“The positive operating outlook and our continued execution against our strategic roadmap provides continued confidence in achieving our FY24 guidance of an NPAT in excess of $6 million and delivering enhanced returns for our shareholders,” he said.
Boom Logistics offers complete project services across the infrastructure, mining, wind farm, and construction industries.
