Allen Crane Hire adds powerful Tadano crane to its fleet

Irish crane rental firm Allen Crane Hire has expanded its fleet with the Tadano AC 6.300-1, a six-axle all-terrain crane already proving its worth on the job.

According to Robbie Allen, the company’s owner, choosing the Tadano AC 6.300-1 was an obvious choice. Tadano’s sales manager Ed Taylor highlighted its value, calling it the “best price–performance ratio in its class.” The specs support this claim.

The crane has an 80-metre main boom as standard, ideal for one of Allen Crane Hire’s key services—putting up and taking down tower cranes. Robbie Allen notes it’s suitable for at least 90 per cent of such jobs across Ireland.

Its compact size and manoeuvrability are also major advantages, crucial for work sites with limited space, often the case in cities.

The crane is already operational. Recently, it dismantled an 80-metre, 20-tonne tower crane in north Dublin smoothly. Robbie Allen praised its impressive lifting power at a 50-metre radius when fitted with a 63-metre luffing jib, describing it as “fantastic” for a 300-tonne crane.

Allen Crane Hire, based in County Wicklow, has been in business for over 30 years, focusing on crane rentals, sales, erection, dismantling, and service, along with transport and storage options.

Tadano, a Japanese company, is globally recognised for its cranes and lifting equipment. Established in 1955, Tadano emphasises safety, quality, and sustainability in its products.
